Wine and
Book Club

The Library Alehouse isn’t just for Ales anymore! Many of you may know our fearless leader, Katie, but we bet you didn’t know that she’s also an accredited sommelier, holding a WSET III certification. We’ve challenged Katie to put that cert to work and bring this fine community a new monthly wine club… but make it Library style. The answer? Wine and books, of course, and we’re very excited about it!

Here’s how it will work – each month, Katie will select a wine and book pairing based on a chosen theme (spoiler alert: the first month’s theme is ITALY). If you’d like to participate in the class, show up to the Library Alehouse at 4:30pm on the 1st of each month, where your curated selection of 2 or 4 bottles will be waiting for you. Katie will go into rich detail about each bottle as you sample and learn about all of the wine you’ll be taking home with you. She’ll pair each selection with a suggested book (book not included) to enjoy with your wine and discuss with the group at the following month’s class.

Don’t have time for all that? Hate reading? Don’t want any new friends? Don’t worry, the class and homework are not mandatory, and you can participate as little or as much as you’d like. We’ll have your wine packed up and ready for you to pick up at any time. We’ll include an expertly prepared pamphlet describing the wine in detail for you to sip and learn at your own leisure.
